Library staff skills boosted by ICT training

All 40,000 public library staff across the UK have received ICT training and are using new skills to improve services for library users as part of the People's Network, the national project to link all 4200 public libraries to the internet.

Designing Libraries database goes public and expands:  A pilot website which gives local authorities, planners, architects and  interior designers as well as library specialists an insight into the  best new, extended and refurbished public library buildings has been  granted the funds from the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council  (MLA) to go live.

New student journalist network to showcase regional museums
