ACRE is an independent Advisory Committee composed of leading scientists. Our main function is to give statutory advice to Ministers in the UK and devolved administrations on the risks to human health and the environment from the release and marketing of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). We also advise on the release of certain non-GM species of plants and animals that are not native to Great Britain.

For further information, including details of ACRE's membership, see "About ACRE". We publish the advice we give to Ministers, an Annual Report, reports of our proceedings, reports produced by our Sub-Groups, and various other documents. Details are available via the various links on the left.

We seek to highlight new or updated publications on the right hand side of this page as well as indexing them on the relevant pages.
