Tackling drug misuse in the UK is a top priority, not just for the Home Office, but throughout Government.

The Home Office drives delivery of the Drug Strategy at Ministerial and official level, in partnership with the Department of Health, the Department for Education and Skills, HM Customs and Excise, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Home Office Drug Directorates

Drug Strategy Directorate (DSD)

The DSD is the Home Office directorate responsible for drug policy. Working closely with the Department of Health, the Department for Education and Skills and othe Government departments, it maintains, the cross-government drug strategy website, and oversees the delivery of the National Drugs Strategy through the work of Drug Action Teams (DATs).

RDS collects research and statistical data about drug use that is used to inform Government policy and strategy.
