Implementation of the E-Commerce Directive in Financial Services: Second Consultation

7 March 2002

This is the second consultation document on how the Treasury intends to implement the E-Commerce Directive in the area of financial services. In particular the Treasury invites comments on the draft statutory instruments contained in Annex C of the document. Respondents may also find it useful to refer to the separate consultations being undertaken by the Department of Trade and Industry and the Financial Services Authority to see how the various aspects of UK implementation of the Directive interrelate.

Comments should be sent to arrive no later than 2 May to:

Bruce Ridewood
Financial Services Regulation Team
HM Treasury
19 Allington Street
London SW1E 5EB
