Hampton Review of regulatory inspection and enforcement
The Chancellor announced the Hampton Review in
Budget 2004
. The review is looking at all interactions between business and regulators, from form-filling to enforcement action, through inspection and licensing.

The review is being led by Philip Hampton, formerly Finance Director for LloydsTSB, BT and British Gas.
About Philip Hampton
The review expects to finish its work in time for the 2005 Budget.
Business consultation
The review is keen to hear opinions from businesses and all others affected by the inspection and enforcement activities of regulators.
We welcome contributions in any form, but we have compiled a list of questions for business to guide businesses and others in their responses.
