Department for Constitutional Affairs

On 12th June 2003 the Prime Minister announced a number of changes to the Government.

These changes mean that the Scotland Office is now part of the Department for Constitutional Affairs. The Rt. Hon. Alistair Darling MP is Secretary of State for Scotland and Secretary of State for Transport. He is responsible for Scottish affairs, advised by the Scotland Office. Mrs Anne McGuire MP is Parliamentary Under Secretary of State within the Department for Constitutional Affairs.
