The Challenge Fund

What is the Challenge Fund?

The Challenge fund was launched in 2000, as a resource to help employers develop and implement work-life balance strategies that will benefit the business, the customer and the employee.

The fund has supplied £11.5m including £4.6m from the European Social Fund through five rounds of applications.

Who has benefited so far?

Since the campaign was first launched, 448 organisations across the England and Scotland have benefited from funding.

These organisations came from the private, public and voluntary sectors. They represent a wide range of industry and service sectors.

Challenge Fund has now closed.

Applications for the Work-life Balance Challenge Fund closed on midday 31 July 2003. Applications will be assessed during August 2003 with notification to follow shortly afterwards
