The second Annual MAS dinner took place on 2nd December at the spectacular venue of the Imperial War Museum of the North next to Salford Quays in Manchester. Under the professional management of John Clifford and Tony Boylan, 150 VIPs and lesser mortals were treated to first class hospitality and entertainment. The assembled group, representing all the major participants in delivering the DTI sponsored Manufacturing Advisory Service, were congratulated by the Minister for Industry , the Rt Hon Jacqui Smith MP , on the outstanding success of the service in delivering over £ 85m of benefits to more than 2,000 UK companies. The event raised over £ 1,200 for Manchester Children's Hospital charity
