Secondments and Attachments

The DTI is committed to running a strategic programme of
secondments and attachments aimed at bringing the department closer
to its customers and partners across business.
There are over 130 secondees from the private sector
working in the DTI – helping to develop and strengthen the links
between business and government.
We also have
over 40 DTI employees on secondment to a wide range of companies and
organisations.
We would like to hear from companies and
organisations interested in hosting secondments and attachments.
We are also keen to second in more private sector expertise to
add value to the work of our department.
Secondments to the DTI can be for periods of three months to three
years depending on the circumstances.

“Week in Business” attachment scheme, whereby senior DTI people spend a week working in a company or
