Debt and Reserves Management  Report 2004-05

The Debt and Reserves Management Report 2004-05 outlines the Government's debt management activities.  It also includes detail of the management of the Official Reserves by the Bank of England.  The Code for Fiscal Stability requires that the Government report annually on the last year's debt management operations and the financing programme for the forthcoming financial year. Additionally, the report also outlines  National Savings & Investments (NS&I) activities and published the HM Treasury's remits for 2004-05 for the activities of the UK Debt Management Office and  NS&I in the wholesale and retail debt markets as well as the Bank of England in the management of the Official Reserves.
