About the Directorate

As part of the Statistics and Analysis Directorate within the Strategy Unit, we provide support and advice to the DTI, its ministers and the business community covering a wide range of core Trade and Industry-related statistics. We are also responsible for the development of statistical policy and classifications.

Macro-economic statistics and statistics for the Energy sector, Small firms, the Labour Market and UK Industry sectors are provided by other statistics units within the department - please see www.dti.gov.uk/statistics
