On 5 November 2003, the Office of Fair Trading unveiled its plans to promote to the general public the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme, that had its business launch in February. The consumer launch of the OFT Approved Code logo and a programme of high profile marketing activity will commence on 18 March 2004, backed by a substantial £1.7m launch budget to develop the Consumer Code brand. The campaign will include TV and radio ads, national and local press adds, posters, leaflets and a website.

The Skills Strategy was launched by the Government in July 2003. It affects every business in the land. On February 3rd 2004 the Trade Association Forum is holding a seminar with the DfES where you will have the opportunity to discuss with senior civil servants how the strategy can be delivered to ensure the economic strength of the country. In order to ensure that you get as much from the event as possible we are asking you to think about what you want to discuss.
