Our Airframes, Engines & Equipment branch produces its own forecasts of commercial aerospace market opportunities. Highlights of the latest forecasts are:-

• Delivery of around 15,200 100+ seat passenger aircraft predicted for the period 2002-2021
  
  
• Further demand expected for 6,300 regional jets and turboprops of 30-11 seat capacity
  
  
• Estimated value of $1,250 billion in today's prices
  

• DTI also forecasts delivery of around 5,000 business jet aircraft in the period 2002-2011 at an estimated current value of $65 billion
