To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of D-Day and the foundation of the Army Benevolent Fund, Major Sir Michael Parker KCVO CBE, the mastermind behind and organiser of Her Majesty The Queen's Golden Jubilee Celebrations outside Buckingham Palace, is to stage "Music on Fire!" at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on the 9th & 10th of July 2004. The expedition comprises 2 teams, each with their distinct objectives but operating under the same banner.A 14 strong team are attempting to climb Makalu (8463m) by its long South East Ridge whilst a High Altitude Development Team of 12 more junior servicemen and women will be climbing Baruntse (7129m) and Mera (6476m).
