A brand new series of Red Cap, BBC One’s award-winning military crime drama hits our screens on 8 January 2004 at 9PM. Starring Tamzin Outhwaite, Red Cap is based on the Royal Military Police’s Special Investigation Branch (SIB), which is responsible for the investigation of serious crimes committed by or against members of the British Army. Army dog hero awarded ‘Animal VC’


Buster, a five year old Springer spaniel who works as a search dog for the Army, has been awarded the Dickin Medal for outstanding devotion to duty. Buster’s heroism in locating a hidden arms cache during the recent conflict in Iraq was rewarded by the PDSA at a ceremony in London. To find out more, Click here.

 
OP Telic Honours and Awards Announced


The Operational Honours and Awards for service on Operation Telic and in support of operations have been released by the Ministry of Defence. Amongst the honours Army Personnel have been awarded a George Cross, one Queens Gallantry Cross, fifteen Military Crosses and two Distinguished Flying Crosses.
