Introduction to the Betsie enhanced text version
Welcome to the Betsie facility of the DTI Internet Service. This page takes you to the text-to-speech enhanced version of DTI's Energy Group web site.
What is Betsie?
Betsie stands for BBC Education Text to Speech Internet Enhancer, and is a simple Perl script which is intended to alleviate some of the problems experienced by people using text to speech systems for web browsing. For further information on Betsie, please see the BBC's About Betsie web site.
Unfortunately Betsie will only work within the DTI's web sites. External sites linked from the DTI's web sites will be marked 'external'.
