Winning

Date of publication: 1995

The results of a study of over 100 of the best British companies found that - no matter what their size or industry sector - they had certain characteristics in common. These characteristics could be adopted by would-be winners, if only they realised their importance and the areas in which they are relatively weak.

This publication - by the Department of Trade and Industry and the Confederation of British Industry - identifies the winning characteristics, and provides a checklist against which you can judge your performance. It also identifies tasks for Government and other bodies to support companies looking to achieve best practice.
