and technology developments worldwide, incorporating a database search
and auto-alert service.
Global
Watch magazine brings news of the latest technological developments
from around the world to UK businesses. Through case studies, reports
on technology developments worldwide and details of events and missions,
the monthly Global Watch focuses not only on businesses in emerging
technology markets, but also on innovation in the traditional areas
of industry.
Overseas
Missions back short fact-finding overseas visits by small groups
of technical experts from UK companies, to identify and learn from the
best practice and technological developments in leading companies overseas.
ITS funds the travel costs and helps towards the sponsoring body’s costs
of organisation and promotion.
International
Technology Promoters help UK companies learn more about, and
access, technology developments and opportunities in key overseas countries.
ITS has a team of Technology Promoters who focus on the Asia pacific
region, North America and Europe. This service provides consultations,
hands-on assistance or specific assignments for firms interested in
improving their technological capability through international licensing
and partnerships.
International
Secondments support UK companies, financially and practically,
in overseas secondments of individuals from any discipline to any country
for periods of three to 12 months to learn best practice, understand
new developments in technology and develop overseas links. The programme
focuses on SMEs (small and medium-sized companies with up to 250 employees.
