Professor Bendell is East Midlands Electricity Professor of Quality Management at Nottingham Polytechnic, where he is also the Director of the Quality Unit, and is a Fellow of the Association of Quality Management Consultants, a Fellow of the Institute of Quality Assurance, a Fellow of the Institute of Statisticians and a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. Professor Bendell is a Founding Chairman of the Quality Methods Association, which incorporates the UK Taguchi Club and is a users group for Quality Methods.
