The Department of Health
The Department has standards for how it communicates with people and
provides its services. These are:
all letters, faxes and emails will be answered within 20 days
all visitors will be seen within 10 minutes of any appointment they
have made at a Department of Health office
all telephone calls will be answered within 10 rings
clear and straightforward information will be provided about all
the Departments services
the complaints procedure
will be sent out on request and publicised
where reasonably possible, services will be made available to everyone,
especially those with special needs
services users will be regularly consulted about services and the
results will be reported back to them.
