PV field trial – Call for proposals
A new field trial, funded under the DTI's New & Renewable Energy Programme, should result in the installation of at least 100 domestic PV systems throughout the UK. The aim is for systems
to be grouped in clusters of around five to 25 on new-build housing developments or major domestic refurbishment projects. The overall objective is to use the design, construction and
monitoring of the installations as a learning opportunity for utilities, building developers and other key players in the process.
A Call for Proposals to participate in the initiative is planned for March. This will cover the recruitment of project teams to install and monitor groups of systems. Proposals will be judged
against their contribution to the scope of the field trial, and a selection of projects will be recruited to ensure a good spread of installations, both geographically and technologically. For further
details, or to register for the Call for Proposals, contact: Madeline Wood, ETSU, Tel: 01235 433137, Fax: 01235 433434, E-mail: madeline.wood@aeat.co.uk
