Quinquennial Review of Companies House

On 16 February the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Competitiveness, Alan Johnson, MP announced a Quinquennial Review of Companies House

Following Cabinet Office guidance the Review will examine first the organisational options for the delivery of Companies House functions. Second, if agency status is confirmed, whether any changes should be made to the way in which Companies House operates, including its aims and objectives, targets and financial controls; the scope of the activities undertaken; and whether its activities could be done more effectively.

In carrying out both stages of the review, the views of customers, staff and their trade unions, consumers and other interested parties will be fully taken into account.

The Review Team would welcome comments and contributions from anyone with an interest in Companies House or its work and has produced a questionnaire to assist those wishing to comment. Comments should be sent to:
