Appointing additional independent members to the Energy and Legal Services Group Boards
We wish to identify an additional 4 individuals with the right skills, experience and commitment to help us achieve our desired results by acting as an independent board member – 3 for the Energy Group Board and 1 for the Legal Services Group Board.
As part of transforming the way DTI works internally, the DTI Boards structure was established in 2002. It created a Strategy Board, Executive Board and five Group Boards to sit alongside the existing Legal Services Group Board, to ensure effective delivery of the Department’s objectives.
Each DTI Board includes independent members drawn from a wide range of backgrounds outside of Government. Their role is not to represent any particular interest, but to provide a valuable external perspective to help improve our internal processes, service delivery and change management. They do not take decisions but have an important advisory and challenging role.
Because these appointments will be filled on merit, on the basis of individual applications considered in line with public appointments guidelines, it is important for anyone who wishes to be considered to note the closing date of Friday 28 November 2003 and that an application form needs to be completed and submitted via our consultants.
Further particulars and the application form can be found on our consultant’s website at www.kmcinternational.com/vacancies using the reference number 598/1.
