Online Consultation on the Draft EU Constitutional Treaty

Rt Hon Jack Straw MP
"I am delighted to welcome you to our Public Forum on the Future of Europe.

This is your opportunity to comment on the draft Constitutional Treaty for the European Union - prepared by The Convention on the Future of Europe.

The Convention’s proposals will form the starting point for discussions between the EU’s elected governments in the forthcoming Intergovernmental Conference (IGC). But decisions on what is included in any future Constitutional Treaty can only be made with the agreement of all Member States.

This on-line discussion will run throughout the IGC. My hope is that your thoughts will help to inform the British Government in its preparations for this process.

I look forward to receiving your contributions."

Best wishes,

Jack Straw
Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs
