Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control: a Practical Guide |
Note: The consultation aspect of this material has now closed. A summary of responses will be published in due course. The following material has been left in place for reference/archive purposes - see in particular the second paragraph below, which addresses the status of the document. The second edition of "Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control: a Practical Guide" has been issued to take account of the Landfill Directive which is being implemented under the Pollution Prevention and Control Regime. Further details are available in this News Release. This new edition supersedes the first edition previously available at this web page address. We shall be grateful for comments upon what it says and on experience of applying it, and it may therefore be regarded as a form of consultation document. However, it should be regarded first and foremost as now quite well established guidance. It does not, of course, have any legal standing in its own right. The Guide is available in HTML format via the following web page. The guide is also available in Adobe Acrobat format (380kb), together with a copy of the covering letter being sent out (Adobe Acrobat format, 60kb). Printed copies of the guide can be obtained from Defra publications (quote PB7230) - see this page or contact Defra Publications, Admail 6000, London, SW1A 2XX, Tel: 08459 556000, Fax: 020 8957 5012, Email: defra@iforcegroup.com Note: since publication of the printed copy of the Guide a small number of errors have been identified, which have (effective from 9 August 2002, and in respect of one further amendment, 5 December 2002 and 14 February 2003) been amended on the website (.PDF and HTML versions). A corrigendum to the printed Guide is available by emailing control.pollution@defra.gsi.gov.uk or by phoning David Demain on 020 7944 6313, and is available here in Adobe Acrobat format (10kb). Any comments on this edition should be sent, by 1 November 2002, to:
If you need to speak to an official about this paper, please phone David Demain on 020 7944 6313. The Adobe Acrobat Reader can be freely downloaded.
