Raising the Targets in 2002: Consultation


Introduction

Recycling of packaging waste must increase if the UK is to achieve the challenging recycling objectives set out in the Government's Waste Strategies, and help the UK to meet possible EU targets in 2006.

This consultation paper contains proposed revisions to the recovery and recycling targets for packaging waste in 2002 and the Government is inviting comments from the packaging industry on what the proposed revisions should be.
