|

of responses, and an indication of actions we intend to take subsequently,
has now been published Further information is available on our Help
page about downloading or reading Adobe Acrobat The following material has been left in place for reference/archive purposes. The Government announced in the Rural White Paper (November 2000) its intention to consult on a proposed national ambient noise strategy for England. We are seeking the views from the public, local authorities and interested groups to the Government's approach to the development of an ambient noise strategy in England. Action in the rest of the UK is not considered here. England is the starting point for the strategy, while controls of ambient noise in the rest of the UK, by the responsible administrations, may be appropriate in due course. Consultation PaperThe document has been made available in Adobe Acrobat format (270kb) for downloading. ResponsesThe deadline for comments on this consultation is 15 March 2002.
