Risk-Based Regulation for LAPC - Consultation

On 7 November 2000 Defra consulted on possible methodologies for introducing risk-based regulation for the Local Air Pollution Control regime. A copy of the consultation paper is on www.defra.gov.uk/environment/airquality/riskam/index.htm

On 3 May 2002 we undertook a 3-month wide consultation on the follow-up report produced by Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd on trials they undertook for the Department of the recommended methodology which emerged from the first-stage work. We also consulted on related guidance on inspection frequency. The consultation closed on 2 August 2002. We will publish the results in due course.
