Implementation of Directives 2002/31/EC and 2002/40/EC implementing Directive 92/75/EEC with regard to energy labelling of household air conditioners and electric ovens: Consultation on New Regulations for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland

Introduction

The UK and other EU Member States have until 1 January 2003 to transpose Directives 2002/31/EC and 2002/40/EC implementing Directive 92/75/EEC with regard to energy labelling of household air conditioners and electric ovens into national legislation. We conducted informal consultations with key stakeholders prior to the adoption of Directive 2002/31/EC on 22 March 2002 and Directive 2002/40/EC on 8 May 2002.
