of responses This consultation paper has been produced by the UK Government and devolved Administrations to seek the opinions of stakeholders on the current situation regarding dioxins and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in the UK environment. Alongside a partial regulatory impact assessment it will serve as a focus for stakeholders to consider what further actions are required to continue reducing environmental and human exposure to dioxins and dioxin-like PCBs, in line with Government policy. Further details are in the News Release issued on 22 October 2002 launching this consultation. The Scottish Executive and Northern Ireland Department of the Environment are consulting separately.
