Flexible service with the Regular Army
FTRS provides a flexible way for ex-Regular and TA officers and soldiers to serve with the Regular Army. The army is looking for people who are qualified members of the TA and regular reserve. If you fit the bill then we can offer you a number of job opportunities. Posts are varied, and may be for between 6 and 42 months, with most posts attracting comparable regular rates of pay.
Following a review of FTRS by the Establishment Committee of the Army Board(ECAB) on 12 September 2003, very few FTRS(Full Commitment) appointments will be offered for the remainder of this financial year. This severe restriction will be kept under constant review and any changes will be notified as soon as possible. There are much reduced opportunities to serve on FTRS(Limited Commitment) and FTRS (Home Commitment) and details of these appointments are listed below in the Search for Opportunites area of reserve information.
