The Directory & Documents area includes the following resources:
Official Documents provides access to official FCO documents published since 1997. These include Annual Reports, Command Papers, Consultations, Historical and research papers and Treaties.
The London Diplomatic List is an alphabetical list of all foreign representations in London. The list provides the address, telephone and fax numbers of Embassies and High Commissions, and, where available, the website and email address.
The Foreign Affairs Committee or FAC's terms of reference are 'to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and associated public bodies'. These pages provide access to FAC reports from 1997 onwards with associated Government responses.
Under Freedom of Information, the FCO, like all other public bodies, provides and maintains a Publication Scheme, giving details of what information is already made available by the FCO, what other information may be made available in the future, and how to identify and ask for further information.
The FCO Library holds the collections of the old Foreign Office and Colonial Office. It also houses a unique photographic record of British colonial and diplomatic history dating from the late 19th century. Members of the public are welcome to visit the library for research (by appointment only).
User Information includes general terms and conditions for using the FCO website, our acceptable use policy and privacy statement.
The Complaints Procedure tells you whom to contact and how if you need to make a complaint. Our aim is to provide an efficient service to the public in the UK and overseas. We will do our best to respond to your complaint quickly, and try to ensure that you and others do not have cause to complain again.
