About this unit

About the unit

This final year 7 unit gives pupils an opportunity to use the language they have learnt so far to communicate about their hobbies, interests and leisure activities.

New language content:

  • gustar, preferir + infinitive
  • present continuous tense
  • modal verbs poder, querer
  • interjections
  • subject pronouns él, ella, usted
  • ir a + infinitive (immediate future)

New contexts:

  • leisure, hobbies, sport, music
  • family activities

This unit is expected to take 12-15 hours.

2. Talking about interests using regular present tense verbs

9. Understanding tenses
10. Discussing the weekend using structures with ir + a + infinitive
