CHANGES TO FCO TRAVEL ADVICE FOLLOWING MILITARY ACTION IN AFGHANISTAN AND TERRORIST ATTACKS IN THE US
In the wake of the military action in Afghanistan and the terrorist attacks in the United States, there may be heightened tension and some disruption to travel world-wide. During the coming period, the general and country specific Travel Advice pages of the FCO website will continue to be updated as information becomes available. More information...

Our Aim
We try to do as much as we can to help British nationals overseas. We have over two thousand staff around the world and in the FCO in London dedicated to providing British nationals with the best possible assistance – without regard to race, colour or creed.

How The FCO Can Help You

  • Country Advice – The latest country-specific travel advice.
  • Before You Go – Information on what to do before you depart.
  • Travellers’ Tips – Country-specific tips.
  • While You Are There – Country Factsheets and general tips.
  • If It All Goes Wrong – Advice on what to do if something goes wrong.
  • FAQs - Answers to the most frequently asked questions.
  • Press Room - Information about the Know Before You Go campaign for campaign partners and journalists.

You can personalise the website to receive email notification of changes to the FCO's country-specific Travel Advice notices.
