PAKISTAN/INDIA: STATEMENT BY ROBIN COOK (31/05/01)
The Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook, has commented on General Musharraf’s announcement that he has accepted Indian Prime Minister Vajpayee’s invitation to visit India. Mr Cook called the meeting 'a significant positive development in India/Pakistan relations'. He added, 'I applaud India’s initiative, and Pakistan’s constructive response'.
