FOREIGN SECRETARY WELCOMES YUGOSLAV GOVERNMENT’S INTENTION TO CO-OPERATE WITH UN WAR CRIMES TRIBUNAL
The Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, has welcomed the Yugoslav Government’s adoption on 23 June of a decree on co-operation with the UN war crimes tribunal. He said, 'Their decision takes us a step closer towards achieving justice in the Balkans... The people of Yugoslavia deserve to put the Milosevic era behind them and re-enter the mainstream of European political life.’
