HIPs: know your rights

Home Information Packs have been suspended

Please note that the Home Information Pack duties are suspended with immediate effect from 21 May 2010. This means that homes marketed for sale on or after this date will no longer need a Home Information Pack. However, Energy Performance Certificates are still required.

There are several safeguards in place to protect buyers and sellers throughout the home buying and selling process. You can ask for help if you have an issue with a Home Information Pack (HIP), Home Inspector, Domestic Energy Assessor, estate agent, HIP provider, search or search provider.
