Apply for Income Support (forms A1 and B16)

Income Support is a benefit for people under 60 on a low income and with limited savings. You can apply for the benefit online (England, Wales and Scotland only).

Overview

The Jobcentre Plus website has information about Income Support, including how much you might be able to get, how to claim and what to do if your circumstances change.

You can:

  • download a claim form in PDF format from the Jobcentre Plus website (link below)
  • contact your local social security office for a form

Claim straight away, if you delay you may lose benefit.
