Fitness to practise procedures

Under these regulations, PCTs should manage fitness to practise requirements for both applicants wanting to be admitted onto pharmaceutical lists, and existing chemists already on these lists. The regulations - the National Health Service (Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2005 - also provide a framework for PCTs to take action if a chemist's professional conduct, competence or performance gives cause for concern.
