New Charter Housing Trust Limited

Statement of support

“New Charter is proud to support ‘Backing Young Britain’. It is a truly worthwhile campaign that is genuinely aimed at addressing the difficulties faced by 18 – 24 year olds. It’s great that there are so many ways of showing support because it allows Employers of all sizes to get involved and make a difference. Investing in young people is a hugely positive thing to do and allows us to demonstrate our investment in the future talent of our Organisation.”

“New Charter has been involved in ‘Backing Young Britain’ in a really big way. We are behind this campaign 100% by providing work experience opportunities across the Organisation, mentoring school age apprentices and providing graduate internship opportunities. We have recently bid for 20 placements through the future jobs fund and are looking forward to support the people who will come to join us. We are supporting work trial and working with Job Centre Plus to help lone parents back to work. New Charter has also been running a modern apprentice scheme for the past 9 years which has led to a large number of young people attaining very successful careers in housing. All of this has been possible as part of our Local Employment Partnership with Jobcentre Plus.”
