A phototograph from the 1963 Annual Report of the Jews' Temporary Shelter showing two mothers together with their children in a room at the Shelter. The Shelter was originally set up in the late 19th century to provide accommodation for Jewish migrants coming in to London who had nowhere to live.The surroundings are utilitarian but the children are smiling.
