Quinquennial Review: Update

The Quinquennial Review remains on target for completion in six months although the time allocated for stage one is likely to be extended from 3 to 4 months.

The review team has so far held meetings with staff from across The Service in three locations: Birmingham, London and Leeds. A final meeting will be held with staff in Cardiff on 6 July which staff from neighbouring offices will also attend. The team has also met with the Trade Unions and senior managers, including the regional managers.

The review team is intending to engage consultants to undertake a study of The Service’s current use of IT and the scope for its greater use in the future. Lesley Beech is meeting with the review team next week to consider how to take that work forward.

Finally, the Quinquennial Review Steering Group are due to meet again on 4 July to consider progress.
