Autumn Statement 5 December 2013

The Chancellor has now delivered his Autumn Statement to Parliament, and the main announcements which will affect HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) customers are available on GOV.UK (Opens new window).

It is regarded as the second most significant economic event of the parliamentary year after the Budget. The statement provides an update on the government's plans for the economy based on the latest forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility (Opens new window). These forecasts will be published alongside the Autumn Statement.
