Changing the text size
- Opening the view menu and selecting to increase or decrease the text size
- Hold ctrl and move the mouse wheel to your chosen text size
- Hold ctrl and + or - to increase or decrease the text size
Changing the font and font size
- Open the tools menu and select options
- In the options box, choose the content tab and under the fonts & colours section select advanced
- Un-tick the box that says allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above
- Select your font and size
You can also set the minimum font size; this will guarantee that whatever you are looking at it will never display the font at a size below the size you have chosen.
Changing the text and background colour
- Open the tools menu and select options
- In the options box, choose the content tab and under the fonts & colours section select colours
- Select the colour of the text and background by clicking in the coloured boxes
- To ensure that your colours are used un-tick the allow pages to choose their own colours, instead of my selections above box and un-tick the use system colours box
- Refresh the page (F5) afterwards to view the changes.
Turn off images
- Open the tools menu and select options
- In the options box, choose the content tab and un-tick the load images automatically box so there is no tick there
- Refresh the page (F5) afterwards to view the changes.
Clear history
- Open the tools menu and select clear private data
- In the clear private data box tick the items you wish to delete including browsing history
- Confirm by selecting clear private data now
Tabbed browsing
You can have several Treasury web pages open at the same time in just the one-browser window.
- Right click on the link you would like to open a new tab with and choose Open link in new tab
- The page will appear in a tab at the top of the browser so that you can click on it when you are ready to look at that particular page.
