Regulatory Impact Assessments Index

This is a list of full regulatory impact assessments produced by HM Treasury from 1 January 2001.

A full RIA is signed by the accountable Minister and placed in the House libraries when the regulation/ legislation is presented to Parliament. An RIA is a policy tool which assesses the impact, in terms of costs, benefits and risks of any proposed regulation which could affect businesses, charities or the voluntary sector. The RIA process helps policy makers to think through the consequences of proposals, improving the quality of advice to Ministers and encouraging informed public debate.

Partial RIA’s are attached to Treasury public consultations. See the Full Index of Consultation Documents.

The Regulatory Impact Assessment documents are available below in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF). If you do not have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer you can download the software free of charge from the Adobe website.
