Implementing the Fourth Motor Insurance Directive
The paper details proposals from the Department of Transport, Local Government and the Regions, the Lord Chancellor’s Department, the Financial Services Authority and HM Treasury. These would make it easier for someone resident in one Member State, who suffers loss or injury caused by a driver in another Member State they are visiting, to pursue a claim against the insurer. Comments are welcomed from all interested parties.
