Latest announcements

14 September 2009 - The Scheme (No.2) 2009 setting out the conduct and terms of allocation of allowances came into force from the 14th of September 2009, following sign off from the Lord's Commissioners. The new Scheme replaces the Scheme 2009.
23 April 2009 - The Scheme 2009 setting out the conduct and terms of allocation of allowances came into force from the 23rd of April 2009, following sign off from the Lord's Commissioners. The new Scheme replaces the Scheme 2008.
5 August 2008 - The Scheme 2008 setting out the conduct and terms of allocation of allowances came into force from the 1st of August 2008, following sign off from the Lord's Commissioners.
29 July 2008 - HM Treasury announces the appointment of the Secretary of State for the Environment to conduct the auctions of allowances.
