Solving the Problems
All types of energy can cause problems. Renewables are no different. Some people think wind turbines donít look nice. Some think that growing too much fuelwood might spoil the countryside. Others are worried about the gases that are given off by burning waste.
Most of these problems can be solved quite easily - by being careful about where wind farms and other renewables are placed, by making sure that gases from burning waste are cleaned properly and so on.
People may think that wind turbines are noisy and that animals might not like them. In fact they are not noisy, and livestock is unaffected.
AND REMEMBER! Renewables do not harm the world environment like other types of energy do. Most importantly, they do not cause global warming.
Another problem is that using renewables usually costs more than other kinds of energy. But the more we use renewables, the less they will cost.
