People Issues: Introduction

The construction industry needs to attract and retain a high-quality workforce. That is why the People Agenda figures prominently in Rethinking Construction/Accelerating Change. Construction Sector Unit works closely with various industry bodies to take forward the People Agenda.

Our pages provide a broad overview of CSU’s key policy issues and partners. We focus notably on the Respect for People programme, which promotes the idea a motivated workforce being fundamental to business success; the main issues affecting the construction industry – health and safety, training and diversity; and the various bodies and agencies, including other departments, with whom we work constantly toward the overall wellbeing of the construction industry.

In each of our pages, the issues under discussion are accompanied by links to relevant sites for the user in search of more detailed information.
