Sector Skills Agreements (SSAs) map out what skills employers need their workforce to have and how these skills will be supplied
SSAs are designed to shape the necessary supply of training and education at all levels to close skills gaps and shortages. Employers and anyone who supplies, funds and plans education and training can sign up to them.
They are facilitated by a network of employer-led Sector Skills Councils (SSCs), which are licensed by the Government through the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES).
